Technical Audio Devices Expands Line of High-End Speakers and Components For European Market
New Compact Reference Speaker and Flagship Electronics Make Production Debut at Munich High End 2010
Munich, Hi-End Show, (May/6th/2010) - Technical Audio Devices Laboratories, Inc.(TADL) will introduce the much-anticipated Compact Reference speaker along with production models of its new TAD-M600 Monaural Power Amplifier, TAD-D600 Disc Player, TAD-M4300 and TAD-M2500 4ch/2ch amplifiers at the 2010 High End show. These new products extend TAD's capability to deliver the finest in high-end audio components for the most discriminating audiophiles.
Building on its engineering expertise and breadth of cutting-edge audio products, the development of TAD Labs Inc. introduces an unrivaled audio performance in professional studios as well as in listening rooms at home
Compact Reference (TAD-CR1)
Offered as a complement to TAD's flagship Reference One speaker (TAD-R1), the Compact Reference speaker (TAD-CR1) shares many of the same components and attributes of its larger sibling while being designed specifically for smaller surroundings. It continues TAD's industry-first application of Beryllium diaphragms as well as showcasing its proprietary technologies, including its CST Driver and ISO Drive Energy Isolation, which are encased in a cabinet that is both attractive and technically well balanced.
"For most speaker manufacturers the creation of a compact loudspeaker has been an exercise in compromise. Smaller drivers, reduced componentry and compromised enclosures are often the norm," said Jones. "The Compact Reference, though, is the equal to the Reference One in almost every way while fulfilling the needs of smaller locations. Those who appreciate the experience of pure sound reproduction will be absolutely amazed."
Developed and designed by Director of Engineering Andrew Jones and an international team of audio engineers, artists and craftsmen, the Compact Reference (TAD-CR1) will be available summer, 2010
M600 Power Amplifier (TAD-M600)
TAD's reputation for uncompromising sound quality is on display with the official production debut of the TAD-M600 Monaural Power Amplifier. Built on a 35kg cast iron chassis which sets a foundation of stability and vibration control, the M600 amplifier delivers fully balanced circuitry and hand-wound dual power supply transformers to virtually eliminate all spurious interference. The result is a signal path so direct that all voltage amplification is achieved in a single stage. Each M600 is hand-built by TADL and intensive quality testing on every single unit is performed before it leaves the TAD laboratories.
"For 35 years TAD speakers have been instrumental to artists and audio engineers in professional recording settings where the purest possible audio signals are required," said Jones. "We understand what the most demanding customers are looking for in amplification and have brought that knowledge to life in the TAD-M600."
The TAD-M600 will be available in Europe starting summer 2010.
D600 Disc Player (TAD-D600)
With core technology representative of TAD's lofty requirements, the TAD-D600 is a new reference standard for disc players with the capabilities to reproduce music and sounds virtually unchanged from the original performance or recording. A proprietary master clock is critical to performance of the TAD-D600, achieving amazingly accurate D/A conversion and reducing jitter to new levels.
The TAD-D600 employs a number of innovations that make it stand out. The rigidity of its die cast aluminum chassis provides a stable mechanical structure while the completely separate power supply removes extraneous vibration and flux leakage. TAD's custom designed and built CD/SACD mechanism is robust and rounds out the reference standard capabilities of this new disc player.
"TAD's D600 disc player is the perfect complement to our line of distinguished loudspeakers," said Jones. "Our engineers are well trained in the art of capturing and replicating pure digital sound quality and the D600 delivers on performance and artistry. With the new M600 amplifier and D600 disc player, TAD can help the discriminating audiophile achieve pure sound quality from start to finish."
The TAD-D600 disc player will be available in Europe starting summer 2010.
M4300/M2500 Power Amplifiers (TAD-M4300, TAD-M2500)
With the TAD-M4300 and TAD-M2500 power amplifiers, TAD continues its mission of providing audio quality that sounds truly natural. Using Class D circuitry in a completely balanced structure, these new TAD amplifiers achieve unprecedented levels of performance.
Utilizing a bridged transformer-less design with two amps in a balanced configuration, the 4-channel TAD-M4300 and 2-channel TAD-M2500 deliver high output power of 300W/4ch and 500W/2ch respectively.
To control vibration, the chassis are precision machined from a 90kg block of aluminum, effectively eliminating all spurious resonances. Maintaining low heat generation thanks to the high efficiency of Class D, the amps achieve high power without additional heat sinks.
"TAD's new 4ch/2ch amplifiers bring a new level of performance to Class D technology," said Jones. "Their compact size and low heat lend themselves to versatile placement, while the choice of two or four channel configurations allow for easy bi-amplification capability."
The next generation of power amplifiers has now arrived.
The TAD-M4300/M2500 amplifiers will be available in Europe starting summer 2010.
